Security and Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (SPET) are critical components in the modern digital landscape, designed to protect information and ensure user privacy across various platforms and applications. These technologies encompass a wide range of tools and methodologies aimed at safeguarding data from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and breaches. Security technologies focus on defending against malicious attacks, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining system availability. Meanwhile, privacy-enhancing technologies (PET) emphasize minimizing the amount of personal information collected, ensuring user anonymity, and providing users with control over their data. Together, SPET plays a crucial role in fostering trust in digital systems, enabling secure communication, and protecting sensitive information in an increasingly interconnected world.
